2009 Grenache Blanc
$20.00
Our 2009 Grenache Blanc is my favorite to date – it is clean and crisp and refreshing, but has enough body to match well with shellfish and pasta. It was picked a bit earlier than previous vintages, and fermented mainly in stainless steel drums, with a small portion fermented in older oak barrels. It’s a wine that will continue to evolve over the next year – starting quite lean and crisp and taking on more mid-palate richness and ‘waxiness’ over time in bottle.
Here’s what Jeb Dunnuck said in his latest release of The Rhone Report:
2009 Tercero Grenache Blanc Camp 4 Vineyard (USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Ynez Valley) $20
Fresh and vibrant, the 2009 Tercero Grenache Blanc Camp 4 Vineyard sports flowers, spices and crisp fruit notes on the nose. These lead into medium bodied wine that sweet fruit, a touch of sweetness and a clean, long finish. Delicious and a superb summer white to drink over the next year. (89 pts.)
